We are a group of first generation Engineering graduates who believe it is our duty to help the next generation of Engineering students at UIUC to succeed.

This endowment was created in 2022 by Clarence Elliott, Jonathan Buie, Estayvaine Bragg, Junia Findlay, Gregory Williams, Prince Darkwah, Ruben Esparza, and Michael Blasingame all Alumni of the NSBE UIUC chapter.The founding members have a strong sense of duty to be of service to the next generation of engineers. They have gone on to have careers in Software Engineering, Patent Law, Technical Sales, Process Engineering, Project Management and more.They are truly a testament to the versatility an engineering degree provides and are keen to share their experiences with the current generation of students.Doing Better Scholarship recipients are selected for their leadership on campus and high academic achievements.

This scholarship was launched in 2022, and will be given to one student each year in perpetuity
